Life on our earth originated millions of years ago. The history of human is also very old, if our history is so old, then the history of the religion we believe in today should be as old as the history of human, but it is not so. Today, the history of all the religions on earth is not as ancient as the history of human beings. The reason for which what we call religion today is not a religion in the true sense, it is a sect. There is a difference between religion and sect. Dharma is the same for the entire human race. No matter in which corner of the earth man lives. Today we all humans live in different parts of the earth. But it is true that all human beings originated from the same place. Later, as the population increased, humans started moving from one place to another for food and security.
In this way, human spread started on the earth. The place on earth where man originated, where man developed, where man expanded his intelligence and discretion. It was there that man laid the foundation of his religion. At the same place, human religion continued to develop with time. Human population started increasing with the development of religion. There were many reasons for this which we will discuss further. When human religion was at its peak, humans took it with them and went to live in different parts of the earth. With time the population increased. Human expansion and development both continued to happen simultaneously. Wherever man went, he took religion with him.
With time some changes started taking place in human religion. Some things were included in them and some rules of religion were changed. By combining all these, a new set of rules was made which was called Sampradaya. There is a difference of rules in sect and religion. The sect is presented in front of the people by changing some of the rules of the original religion and incorporating new rules in its place. This work is done by religious leaders. The people who believe in these religious leaders, have faith in them, the same people propagate these sects. When more than one person believes in a concept, then its effect is felt on other people quickly.This is how a sect is propagated and spread. With time people's faith in these sects keeps on increasing and people start considering it as a religion. By following these sects for many generations, man has started forgetting his original religion. This is the reason that today we have forgotten our original religion which we are considering as religion today. It is a branch of religion.
