I, Sandeep Singh Samrat, bow before you all with folded hands and offer my humble salutations at your sacred feet. With utmost sincerity I say unto you—Prakriti Namami Jeevanam. My earnest appeal to each one of you is this: To preserve life upon this Earth, for the welfare of the entire living world and all humankind, we must unite in our sacred duty to protect Nature. Only then shall we safeguard our own lives, and ensure the survival of the generations yet to come. The Earth is the only home of all living beings, and humanity is no exception. Our first and truest home is this Earth; therefore, we must protect and honour our dwelling. Every creature upon this planet is our own, a part of our extended family, and it is our solemn responsibility to ensure their safety and well-being. We humans are the children of Nature, and it is our sacred obligation to guard and preserve our Divine Mother. All beings living upon Earth are Nature’s offspring—our brothers and sisters—and it is we humans who must protect them. Together, we must save Nature, safeguard our home, and preserve the lives of our countless brethren. Let us unite in the defence of our only abode; let us rebuild and beautify it once more, restoring happiness, harmony, and prosperity to Nature. Join our movement, “One Earth, One Future”, and offer your valuable contribution. Carry this message to as many souls as you can, so that together all humanity may restore Nature to her former splendour. Our call resounds: One Earth – One Future – One Humanity.
Let us join our efforts to protect our shared home. We request your cooperation in taking this message to the widest reaches. We ask for nothing material—only that every individual fulfil their duty by helping us spread this mission. The Global Crisis of Unemployment Caused by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation
Artificial Intelligence, robotics, machine learning, and automation technologies have revolutionized every sphere of human activity. Yet these very technologies have ushered in a grave and unprecedented crisis—the large-scale displacement of jobs and the looming threat of global unemployment. This crisis is not unfolding gradually; it is advancing with alarming speed. International organisations such as the World Bank, IMF, ILO, and OECD warn that in the next 10–15 years nearly 40% of the world’s jobs may be entirely automated. This is not merely an economic crisis; it is the beginning of deep social instability.
AI has emerged as the most powerful substitute for human labour in modern times. Industries are rapidly replacing human workers with machines in production, service delivery, data analysis, accounting, security, customer service, and numerous other fields. This wave of automation disproportionately affects low- and medium-skilled workers. A robot that works twenty-four hours a day, requires no leave, does not fall ill, and becomes cost-effective after a single investment naturally appears more favourable to companies than human labour.
AI-based chatbots, virtual assistants, automated call centres, self-checkout machines, driverless vehicles, robotic welding, automated warehouses, and AI document-processing systems are eliminating millions of jobs. Robots in laboratories are now serving food, assembling vehicles, assisting in surgeries, and sowing seeds in agricultural fields. The direct implication is clear: the demand for human labour will decline further in the years to come.
The problem is not confined to job losses; it also extends to wage disparity. With automation reducing the need for human workforces, job opportunities shrink and the burden on remaining employees increases. Middle-class incomes stagnate, and economic inequality grows sharply between the wealthy and the poor. While technology companies accumulate unprecedented wealth, the working class slides rapidly toward poverty.
AI’s influence is visible not only in industries but also in education, health, banking, transportation, journalism, law, defence, agriculture, and administration. AI-based news writers now generate reports; data entry and accounting have become almost fully automated; AI diagnostic systems in healthcare often produce results faster and more accurately than human doctors. These technologies are not merely assisting human capability—they are challenging and surpassing it.
The gravest danger of automation looms over developing and impoverished nations, where employment largely depends on manual labour, small industries, and agriculture. If AI replaces the jobs of these communities, millions of families will suffer devastating consequences. Poverty, hunger, crime, violence, social unrest, and political instability may rise sharply. The number of international refugees may also increase.
Another dimension of AI-driven economic inequality is the widening gulf between rich and poor nations. High-skilled jobs may increase in developed countries, while opportunities diminish in poorer nations, exacerbating global economic division.
In essence, AI and automation are both tremendous opportunities and immense threats. These technologies may advance the world, yet they may also render human labour obsolete. Understanding this challenge and taking decisive measures in time is imperative. If ignored, the coming decade may witness a planetary crisis of “technological unemployment.”
Prakriti Namami Jeevanam.
